To get involved in the game, mainly. Also, some of the pages are members only. A few are even faction (your species) only. The character (incarnation) profile pages show more information to those who are logged in than to those who are not. Things like that.

To close your account, you go to go unsignup, here UnSignup. This will permanently remove your account, all your game status, your characters, everything we know about you. We keep nothing (unlike, say, FaceBook) once you close your account.

This is a social media website. You are interacting with other folks (ETs and Humans and other things). Your behavior is expected to be sociable, even if you are of a race or genre of "folk" that is in herently anit-social or non-social.

Abuse of the focums includes unsolicited advertising of ANY sort, posting topics unrelated to this site's activities, name calling, inciting to inter-species warfare, and so on.

If your karma rating (reflecting your behavior on the site) gets too low, your account may be put on probationary status, and if the karma does not come up, your account may be suspended or even deleted.

Karma points are solely up to the MIB Agents and Senior MIB operators moderating this site.

Censorship is a distasteful subject to us; however, we advise using sound judgement at all times. Posting objectionable images may result in our requesting you change or remove that image.

Humans are "acting out" [fascinating human term] all over the internet right now; as they realize the first taste of personal freedom that global communications is giving them. Please don't get that far in raport with Human behavior. Remember who you are.

And that's pretty much it. While in the lounges, or any ETsOnly! facilities (including the shops, meeting halls, forums and other activities where multiple species and missions might interact at close quarters, remember that the Conquest of the Earth happens out there, not in the safe places that the Pleiadian Hegemony, the Earth Affairs Council and this branch of the MIBs have provided.

That seems really unlikely; we send out very few. However, you can go to your control panel (after logging in) and change your notification / email options.

Please tell us! And tell us exactly what device it is you are using and what browser (IE, Chrome, Opera, Safari, or any of the dozens of others). The brand, manufacturer, version of OS... as much info as you can come up with. There are 100's of devices now, and little standarization. <Sigh>

We recommend Chrome (it's the fastest of all the browsers, and mostly the most secure, as much as any browser is (or can be) secure, these days), but we try hard to stay compatible with all the major browsers. One difficulty is IE (aka Edge); it's always been a problem, but we try to accomodate it. Another problem is Safari, which has dropped some of its support (which is unfortunate; it is/was a wonderful browser).

ETsOnly! Conquest of the Earth is a representation of the battle for control of this (mostly wonderful) planet (known as "Earth" to the natives), by the various factions who present in this part of the galaxy. The conflict is very, very ancient, and this is a particualrly "interesting" time in galactic politics. Much revolves around what happens here, over the next years (decades, more or less). Many factions are active here. Many independent and "rogue" factions as well. Some are just exploiting the situation; others really mean to "win."

Everything you do in the "game" feeds back to the general status of the situation. Even acquiring control over one neighborhood in the "game" affects the standing of many things.

As we said above, there is a larger situation happening in the galaxy as a whole right now. It's complicated. We'll say more later one.

Go to your control panes and make the changes you want there. (A few things can not be changed once you set up your account, but most things can be.) Your game status, of course, is changed by playing the game more.

Some things that show up on your incarnations' profile page(s) can not be changed, are maintained by the system and by your history on this site and on this planet.

At this time, each player is allowed to host 6 characters. This allows you to play more than one faction or mission type, but make sure you're not playing against yourself!

An "incarnation" is as close as we can get in human language to describing the several aspects of intention and facets of consciousness any single being may experience simultaneously.

Basic stuff right? Well... not on this planet. These are difficult concepts for most humans. And if you've been "under cover" a long time, you may need reminding of this stuff yourself.

That's ok. That's not what "incarnation" means here. Human languages are very difficult to express concepts accurately with. In this case "incarnation" and "reincarnation" are [mostly] unrelated words.
